IMPORTANT NEWS!!!

We are delighted to announce that we were successful in our bid for funding to the CAL MAC Community Fund. This generous award of £1946.94 will help us purchase special equipment enabling us to further our aim of combating social isolation and loneliness by giving everyone in our community the opportunity to connect with local news, keep up to date with events around the island and be informed in all ways about the wider community which we all live. A Big Thank You to CAL MAC from everyone at ArranSound.com
Featuring.....Marty Ross - 11 April to 17 April
Arran resident Marty Ross is well established as a storyteller, both through live performance and as a writer of radio / audio drama. He is the author of many productions for BBC Radio (including the Radio 4 ghost story series THE DARKER SIDE OF THE BORDER & serials CATCH MY BREATH & GHOST ZONE), for Big Finish (DOCTOR WHO & DARK SHADOWS) and, most recently, Audible (dramatisations of TREASURE ISLAND, ARABIAN NIGHTS, THREE MUSKETEERS and his own THE DARKWATER BRIDE and ROMEO & JUDE), as well as for Wireless Theatre Company, who have a free online playlist of his productions for them.
But aside from his writing, he has kept alive an older form of storytelling, performing folk & fairy tales & ghost stories - sometimes classic, sometimes of his own creation - in unscripted shows in venues ranging from the Edinburgh & Glasgow Southside Fringes and London Horror Festival to Whiting Bay Village Hall and the bronze age round house at Brodick Castle.
Marty contributes a regular story each week on ArranSound.com. These weekly stories have become very popular with listeners tuning in from as far away as Canada. Listen to our interview to find out more about Marty.
The interview is broadcast on Sunday at 5pm and every night at 8pm. On Thursday, you can listen to the latest episode of his current story, following which, you can hear our interview at 9pm.
